Marcus Castro-Walker

CEO

Marcus brings over 15 years of experience in college athletic administration to the group.

Castro-Walker spent the last two years as the Director of NIL (now titled General Manager) at the University of Florida. During his tenure with the Gators, he focused on managing the football programs’ NIL and developing collectives. Notably, Castro-Walker held the position of the first Director of NIL in the country when he joined the Gators. His responsibilities included contract negotiation, salary cap management, fundraising, recruiting, and player development.

Before his role at the University of Florida, Castro-Walker spent the 2021 season as the program’s director of player development at Nebraska. In this position, he developed, implemented, and monitored an effective student mentoring program for Husker football student-athletes.

Prior to Nebraska, Castro-Walker spent four years as the director of college personnel at Arizona State University. During his time there, he also assisted the head coach, Herm Edwards, and the Assistant head coach, Antonio Pierce. During his time at Arizona State he developed notable players such as Jayden Daniels, Brandon Aiyuk, Ricky Pearsall and many other successful NFL players. Before Arizona State, he held a similar role at the University of Central Florida with Scott Frost.

Castro-Walker first joined the Sun Devils in 2008 as a graduate assistant, working with the Office of Student-Athlete Development while pursuing his master’s degree in higher and post-secondary education. After completing his master’s degree, he held various roles at Arizona State University, including Director of Football Academics, Director of Life Skills for all sports, and Director of College Personnel/Player Development for Football.

Castro-Walker is a graduate of Eastern Washington University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in communication studies. As a student-athlete, he was recognized as the University’s Student-Athlete of the Year for his exceptional academic performance and was also a McNair Scholar, a prestigious post-graduate program for high-achieving students. He was born in Toronto, Canada, before relocating to Pullman, Washington, where his father coached for Washington State University. 

Christine Moore

COO

Christine Moore, the COO of The W Group, brings a wealth of experience to the role. She played collegiate soccer at Eastern Washington University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Afterward, she pursued her MBA and continued her athletic journey, playing Women’s Arena Tackle Football in the US, Canada, and Australia from 2010 to 2022.

Prior to joining The W Group, Christine spent 15 years in the fitness industry, where she honed her skills as a certified strength and conditioning coach. Her expertise extended beyond training athletes, as she also demonstrated a knack for business management. Christine held the position of regional operations manager, overseeing the operations of seven Orangetheory Fitness Franchises for the past decade.

Christine’s passion for sports and her commitment to taking care of people led her to The W Group. She is thrilled to bring her expertise to the organization, representing student athletes in a way that transforms their lives and inspires them to achieve their dreams.
